John Lewis freezes school uniform prices for fourth consecutive year
John Lewis has today announced it will freeze its school uniform prices for the fourth consecutive year, reaffirming its commitment to affordability as families prepare for the upcoming back-to-school season.
Over 70% of the retailer’s school uniform range has remained at the same price since 2021. Entry-level items include boys' cargo shorts from £7 and a three-pack of pure cotton polo shirts from £8.
The collection is designed with functionality and longevity in mind, featuring practical additions like adjustable waists, longer-length trousers (with a 5cm extended inside leg), and reinforced knee patches. Stain-resistant, easy-care fabrics make items ideal for everyday wear and perfect for handing down between siblings.
Susan Kennedy, Buying Manager for Kidswear at John Lewis, said: "We know that getting ready for the new school year can be a daunting time for parents, which is why we go the extra mile to make back-to-school shopping a breeze.
"We're dedicated to value and hand-me-down worthy quality, ensuring our school uniform is built for busy days in both the classroom and playground. We're proud to have frozen prices of our school uniform range for another year."
In addition to core uniform pieces, John Lewis also offers an extensive range of accessories including stationery, lunchboxes, school shoes, and backpacks. This move comes as families across the UK face ongoing cost-of-living pressures.
