John Lewis is expanding its Anyday affordable in-house brand to include fashion with some of the items also being made available via its upmarket supermarket chain Waitrose.

The retailer introduced Anyday in the spring of this year offering homewares, tech and baby products and said at the time that fashion was on the cards. It has notched up £60m in sales of Anyday products so far.

From 13 September there will be 700 items of menswear, womenswear and children’s clothing available from Anyday, including £4 children's leggings and £22 jogging bottoms for women.

As well as being available in John Lewis stores and online, some 300 Anyday products will be made available for sale in 120 Waitrose stores at the end of the month.

Pippa Wicks, executive director at John Lewis & Partners said: “Anyday is a stepchange for John Lewis and forms an important part of our business transformation plans.”

“It was created to deliver style, quality and value for money for everyday moments and has been our most successful own brand home launch for a spring season to date. The strong reaction from customers has led to nearly £60 million in sales in the first four months.”
