JD Group’s Focus Brands has announced the opening of its new headquarters in Huddersfield, with a visit and “motivational talk” from JD Group Executive Chairman Peter Cowgill, who was joined by ex-professional footballer, Neil Mellor.

Focus Brands, which owns brands such as Yogi, Peter Werth, Fenchurch and Henleys, as well holding licenses for Ellesse, Farah and Nautica, was acquired by the JD Group in 2011 and currently produces 10,000,000 units per annum, controlled via distribution in the UK, France, Scandinavia, Greece, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Benelux and Italy.

The company has operated out of Huddersfield for 23 years, but the new HQ, located at Paddock, features a variety of brand showrooms, design studios and general office spaces for the sites’ 70 employees.

The new offices and showrooms now join five other operational locations for Focus Brands, in London, St Albans, Berlin, Amsterdam and Ningbo in China.

Focus Brands Director, Dave Tolman, commented: “Huddersfield has been an instrumental part of the Focus Brands story and we’re excited to be investing further into the area with a new state of the art office space. We look forward to welcoming our employees into their new working environment under the latest government advised social distancing measures.”
