JD celebrates the Olympics with new ‘Champions of the Street’ campaign
JD has launched a new campaign in Paris called 'Champions of the Street' as the 2024 Olympics gains momentum in the city, "celebrating everyday sporting heroes".
The sports retail giant is inviting competitors across Paris to take part in a series of sporting challenges for the chance to win JD gift cards.
The campaign aims to "authentically underscores the brands’ relationship with the community and demonstrates its unwavering commitment to empowering the next generation", while showcasing JD’s latest summer collection – including exclusive colourways of Nike ‘Air Max 95’ and Adidas Originals ‘Campus’ trainers.
The challenges will be taking place at JD’s Val-d’Europe store in Paris on 4 August, and its Aéroville store in the city on 11 August.
JD will also be giving customers who have purchased a pair of sneakers the opportunity to customise their new footwear with a selection of Bronze, Silver or Gold designs.
Chris Waters, Retail Marketing Director at JD, said: "This summer the world is busy celebrating the pinnacle of sporting achievement and spectacle, however, it’s important we also celebrate the everyday athletes too.
"Our latest campaign, ‘Champions of the Street’ does exactly that by challenging youth competitors to reach the podium - and equally importantly, to look good doing it."
