JATC confirms AW23 show dates and new beauty area launch for London

Just Around the Corner (JATC) trade show has announced the dates for its AW23 editions, set to run from 19-20 January 2023 at Manchester Central Convention Centre – a relocation from the previous Freight Island venue, and from 8-9 February at the usual Truman Brewery site on London’s Brick Lane.

The London show, which will now be over two days instead of three, is being extended to encompass the whole of the second floor with the launch of a new zone dedicated to beauty and lifestyle.

The new area will cover skincare, grooming, fragrance, wellness, jewellery and home, curated by industry veteran, Karen Berman.

Also new for AW23 will be a scheme for brands to offer buyers 5% discount for orders placed at the show (provided no other discount terms are in place), which JATC hopes will further drive home the message that the show is an order writing event.

Additionally, JATC is now approved by several European embassies for exhibitors to apply for grants towards costs incurred at showing, which is hoped will be a key driver for growth of both new exhibitors joining and existing ones expanding stand sizes and adding further collections.

Juls Dawson, Founder of JATC and JUST Consultancies, said: “We are very excited about all the elements of the show that are debuting this season, as the ingredients all make for a wider offering and a more compelling visit for our buyers.

“We have also listened to our audience and adapted accordingly and have reduced London to two days, from three, and moved from Sunday launch days to weekday timings. Also, we have moved the dates to earlier in the selling window to try and suit better our exhibitors who span so many categories, whilst avoiding cross over with other UK and international shows.

“Following feedback, we have doubled the footprint of our stand configuration in order to make the whole experience more comfortable for buyers and brands alike.”

The new Manchester Central Convention Centre venue is a vast space that was once the city’s main train station, with an arched ceiling, exposed brick perimeter walls and industrial feel, close to Manchester’s tram service, motorway connections and with underground parking.
