Jakke collaborates with three artists to launch new faux fur jacket collection

Jakke has launched a new limited-edition collection with artists, Swedish Illustrator, Astrid Wilson, Kit Agar and London sculptor and architectural designer, Simone Brewster.

Described by Jakke, the cruelty-free jackets are statement pieces that show style, character and conscience. The collection features the Rita faux fur jackets in three new prints to celebrate a blend of art and fashion, all within a sustainable and climate conscious model.

Each artist brought their artistic outlook and style to the designs. In her jacket, Astrid Wilson exhibits her unabashed love of colour in a print that appeals to the childlike joy of Wilson’s art.

Brussels based artist, Kit Agar, has created a bold print with blocks of illustration, which is brought to life by the calm palette synonymous with Agar’s work.

Simone Brewster presents a deep, minimalist design that echoes the contemporary style that has become her signature.

Nina Hopkins, Jakke Creative Director, said: "The interwoven relationship between art and fashion is something I've wanted to explore with Jakke since the brand's inception.

"I am thrilled to announce the launch of this collaboration between Jakke and Astrid Wilson, Kit Agar and Simone Brewster; three female contemporary artists who are captivating their communities with their unique and ground-breaking work."

Jakke is an ethical fashion label, created by designer Nina Hopkins from her belief that fashion-forward women should be able to buy confidently into ethical fashion.

The collection is stocked online at Jakke, with select styles available at Harvey Nichols.
