French designer Isabel Marant has teamed up with L'Oréal Paris to create a make-up collection that is due to launch in September.

The "on the go" capsule collection will include five different products for the eyes, lips and cheeks and will be unveiled during the designer's Paris Fashion Week show on 27 September and launch the same day at L'Oréal points of sale, online and in Isabel Marant's stores. It will pre-launch online on 19 September.

Marant said of the collaboration: "I’ve always interpreted fashion’s ready-to-wear literally, and I couldn’t be more thrilled at this chance to do that in makeup with an on-the-go collection with L’Oréal Paris. It has been a dream to get right inside makeup innovation and to offer this collection of day-into-night, natural-to-smoking makeup essentials I have always wanted.”

"This is a collaboration that’s really of the moment: synonymous with Parisian elegance, Isabel Marant is one of the great self-made designers today. Absolutely true to herself and her independence, she’s the perfect partner for the brand, in our drive to make every woman around the world feel worth it,” added Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, L’Oréal Paris Global Brand President.

Isabel Marant sold a majority 51% stake in her brand to Montefiore investment two years ago and at the time it was said the designer would look to expand into other categories including menswear (which she has since done), fragrance and eyewear, as well as expanding its accessories offer. Prior to the buyout, the label was mainly focused on ready-to-wear (via its main line and Etoile diffusion line) and shoes, in particular sneakers.
