Founded in 1976 by Lucille and Richard Lewin, Whistles is a British contemporary fashion label known for its timeless pieces and intelligent sense of design.

The brand has more than 40 stores and is sold in big department stores such as Selfridges, John Lewis, House of Fraser and Harvey Nichols.

In January 2008, Former Topshop Director, Jane Shepherdson, signed a deal to purchase a 20% stake in Whistles and was appointed the job of CEO.

In March 2016, Whistles and its 46 shops was bought by the South African retailer, Foschini Group.
