Founded in 1966 by James Van Doren, Paul Van Doren and Gordon Lee, Vans is an American manufacturer of skateboarding shoes and related apparel, established in Anaheim, California, and owned by VF Corporation.

The company also sponsors surf, snowboarding, BMX, and motocross teams. From 1996 to 2019, the company had been the primary sponsor of the annual Vans Warped Tour traveling rock festival.

There company also owns a skate park, music venue and store in London called House of Vans.
