When Jeremy Hackett started his business selling vintage menswear little did he know it would be so successful that he’d soon run out and have to start designing his own. Founded in 1983 by Jeremy Hackett and Ashley Lloyd-Jennings on a stall in London’s Portobello Road, Hackett London quickly grew into a brand outfitting gents in smart British menswear.
The quintessential British men’s brand, Hackett London offers the world a contemporary take on the timeless British image of tailroing, bowler hats and black umbrellas. Today, it is part of the Pepe Jeans Group owned L Capital Asia and M1 Group.
In June 2019 the business announced it was returning to its roots on Savile Row having taken over the lease of the former Hardy Amies store on the storied tailoring street.
