Forever 21

Forever 21

Originally known as Fashion 21, Forever 21 was founded in Los Angeles in 1984 by husband and wife, Do Won Chang and and Jin Sook Chang. Originally the brand was targeted the LA Korean American community before refocusing on mainstream fashion.

In February 2020, it was announced that Forever 21 had reached a deal to sell all of its assets for $81 million to a consortium of mall operators Simon Property Group and Brookfield Properties, and brand management firm Authentic Brands Group.

The brand now operates in the UK via ecommerce, closing all UK stores in 2019.
