In 2012, British designer Cathal McAteer founded Folk, a luxury fashion label inspired by elegant clothes and subtle details. The brand is known for its quality, textures and characteristics of the fabrications and trims. Cathal’s aim was design to pieces that his friends would wear, simple everyday clothing with subtle, innovative and sometimes playful detailing.

In 2004, its sister brand ShoFolk, was launched selling men and women’s footwear.
