In 1984, Thomas Meyer, turned a pair of trousers into a denim jacket, and the first Desigual garment was born. Founded by Swiss businessman, Thomas Meyer, on the island of Ibiza. In 1986, the first Desigual store became the meeting point for lots of people intrigued by that free, genuine, optimistic, carefree and Mediterranean universe that, from Barcelona, Desigual pioneers, three decades on.

Currently available in nearly 100 countries through Desigual and multi-brand stores, department stores and online, they employ more than 4,600 people from more than 100 different nationalities in a unique way of working that they like to call 'Fun & Profit'.
