Christian Louboutin is a French luxury footwear brand founded in 1991 by designer Christian Louboutin and it is famous for its stilettos that incorporate a shiny red-lacquered sole. Favoured by celebrities such as Diane von Fürstenberg, Blake Lively, Madonna and Britney Spears. In 2011 Louboutin became the most searched-for shoe brand on the internet.

Louboutin's red-bottom colour code is Pantone 18-1663 TPX and it protected as a trademark in several countries around the world. In 2014, the brand launched a series of nail varnishes and, in 2015, the company expanded its foray into beauty with a lipstick collection.
