#INDxCarynDaphne: in pictures

Lauretta Roberts
23 July 2015

Members of The Industry gathered at the Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design in London's Soho to listen to broadcaster, journalist and commentator Caryn Franklin and the world's oldest working model Daphne Selfe talk about challenging the status quo in fashion.

In a talked moderated by The Industry's managing director Lauretta Roberts, the pair discussed the need for more diverse images in fashion, not just because of a moral responsibility but because it made good business sense.

Happily both believed that fashion imagery and editorial were beginning to embrace models of different ages, sizes and ethnic backgrounds, but both felt retailers were lagging behind.

A full report and video will be released soon. In the meantime we are sharing some images from a wonderful evening.
