Spanish fashion retail giant, Inditex has started to implement remote working in response to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
The Zara and Massimo Dutti parent is implementing remote working as much as possible at its head office in Arteixo, A Coruña.
Inditex is encouraging remote working as much as possible, according to the role and characteristics of each position and department. Other measures carried out by the retail giant to contain the virus have so far included the temporary suspension of the gym and bus services at its Galician HQ. These following actions will also be implemented in the group’s offices in Tordera, in the province of Barcelona.
Inditex plans to report its annual financial results on 18 March and has limited external visits to its HQ. As a result, journalists will have to listen to the financial presentation via telephone, rather than attending the event in person, as is the custom at the company, currently led by Pablo Isla.
