KIOSK N1C, the independent lifestyle brand and magazine, has launched a flexible event space and its first bricks and mortar store at the new King's Cross shopping and restaurant district Coal Drops Yard. The magazine acts as curator of the Lower Stable Street section of the Heatherwick Studio-designed destination, which is a market-style street featuring pop-ups, live events and in-store workshops a collective of established and up-and-coming experimental brands.

In its own space KIOSK N1C offers shoppers a curated edit of hard-to-find pieces from emerging fashion and lifestyle brands as well as independent books and magazines. Brands on offer include Champion, RoToTo, Heavyweight Collections, Haeckels, BUAISOU and Japanese skate brand Evisen.

As well as the retail offer KIOSK N1C will transform into a flexible events space, celebrating fashion, beauty, music and the arts with a number of retailer and external partner pop-ups, workshops, film screenings and experiences. Lower Stable Street will also play host a Sunday market throughout summer.

James Bowthorpe, founder KIOSK N1C said: “More than a store KIOSK N1C is a space for like-minded collaboration and a celebration of fashion, art and culture. By taking a curated approach to both KIOSK N1C and Lower Stable Street and handpicking a community of emerging fashion and lifestyle brands, every visit is an opportunity for shoppers to learn, engage and discover something new.”

Coal Drops Yard was opened last autumn in a pair of reimagined Victorian coal buildings, creating 100,000 sq ft of shops, bars and restaurants in the centre of King's Cross. Key retailers in the scheme include Paul Smith and COS along with a range of independent brands.
