In Pictures: Valentino unveils Alessandro Michele’s first collection for Spring 2025

Valentino has unveiled a surprise 171-piece debut ready-to-wear collection for Spring 2025 from newly appointed Creative Director, Alessandro Michele, as part of Milan Fashion Week.
It comes months ahead of schedule, given Michele only joined the Milan-based fashion house, which was founded in Rome in 1959, in March 2024.
Michele grew to international recognition as Creative Director of Gucci from 2014 – 2022, a company he had joined under the invitation of Tom Ford back in 2002 where he was originally in charge of handbag designs.
Fashion commentators will be curious to see if there are any comparisons to be drawn between his old Gucci designs and the new looks created for Valentino.
