In Pictures: Tolu Coker’s debut collection for Topshop
Today, 2 March, sees the launch of Tolu Coker’s debut 18-piece collection for Topshop, as first revealed during the British-Nigerian designer’s catwalk show at London Fashion Week last month, which was attended by King Charles III.
At the heart of the collection is Coker’s precision tailoring, reinterpreted across modern staples and statement pieces, such as denim reimagined into coordinated sets, including cropped jackets, multi-pocket jeans, and mini and maxi skirts featuring Coker’s signature pleating.

There are also knitted jumpers with “strong shoulders” and knitted dresses with refined fit-and-flare shaping, as well as sculpted shirting that is darted and cinched, a tailored three-piece suit designed to mix and match, and a signature checkered dress with cut-out back detail.
Michelle Wilson, Managing Director of Topshop, said: “Topshop has always believed in championing new talent and giving emerging designers a global platform. Our fashion loving community wants creativity, personality and cultural relevance. Tolu embodies that spirit completely.
“Seeing pieces from this collection debut on the runway at her London Fashion Week show, and the incredible reaction they received, was a testament to her vision and the power of this collaboration. Together, we’ve created a collection that feels modern, expressive and unmistakably ours.”
Coker added: “Working with Topshop on this collection felt like an opportunity to speak directly to a part of British fashion culture that shaped so many of us in real time. We set out to create pieces that understand movement and the way people actually live and dress now.
“For me, it was about bringing community, craft and culture into conversation while embracing Topshop’s spirit of creativity and accessibility, so the collection feels elevated but never detached from the people it's for.”
An accompanying campaign, titled ‘DOORS’, explores social mobility and “the thresholds the modern woman crosses throughout life”, from work to home, private to public, arrival to reinvention, and the wardrobe she carries with her through each one - with a film shot Tolu Coker’s brother, Ade Coker, photography by Rashidi Noah, millinery crafted by Virna Pasquinelli and music by Grammy Award-winning, Gaetan Judd.
The Topshop x Tolu Coker collection launches on the Topshop website today, with prices ranging from £30 to £120, and in sizes 6-18. It will then be available to ASOS.WORLD customers on 3 March, with all ASOS customers having access from 4 March.
