In pictures: The Industry meets William Banks-Blaney

Lauretta Roberts
26 November 2015

Members of The Industry gathered at Condé Nast College of Fashion in London's Soho on 24 November to hear "The Vintage King" William Banks-Blaney of WilliamVintage share his thoughts, insights and secrets on finding and rescuing the best clothes from the past century and what it's like dressing some of the world's most stylish women.

Banks-Blaney was interviewed by Condé Nast director of digital strategy and member of The Industry advisory board Dolly Jones and revealed his favourite fashion era was the late 1960s, that Courrèges never goes out of style and why you don't need to be a size 00 to look great in vintage.

His tips for the designers to collect today? Mary Katrantzou, Erdem and Jonathan Saunders. And, while, he would be too modest to say it himself, William's own line just released with Liberty of London, is set to be a future classic.

A full report and video highlights will be posted soon. In the meantime, please enjoy some images from an unforgettable evening with one of fashion's most eloquent, entertaining and influential individuals.
