In Pictures: Soeur launches first swimwear collection with Lido
Contemporary women's brand Soeur has made its first move into swimwear in collaboration with Venetian swim brand Lido.
French brand Soeur, which has a UK store in London's Shoreditch, has paired its signature minimalist style and deep and timeless colour palette – in this case inspired by Italian food with shades including Pistacchio, Caramello and Bacio) – with Lido's technical know-how to create the new capsule collection.
The line-up features three sleek and sculpting swimwear styles (two bikinis and a one-piece) along with a striped shirt dress and a light sarong-style skirt. Also available are a large beach towel and Borsa canvas bag. It will be available from tomorrow (22 May) on the Soeur website as well as at select stores, including London.
To mark the collaboration Soeur and Lido carried out a shoot in a setting steeped in history on the outskirts of the island of Lido, fronting the Adriatic Sea. The collection is photographed on Tanya Ruban by Ben Beagent.
Describing the Soeur aesthetic, creative director Domtille Brion said: "Soeur is a wardrobe that blurs the lines. An open plan wardrobe, which borrows from menswear for an ever-more feminine allure. These are pieces that express a modern and inspiring vision of femininity.
"Sincere, sensitive, elegant, inclusive style exists independent of age. I want everyone who dresses in our designs to feel understood and valued."
