In Pictures: Romeo Beckham stars in new Champion campaign

Champion has called on David and Victoria Beckham’s second son, 22 year old Romeo, to front its new Reverse Weave sportswear campaign.

Under the title of ‘Champions for Champion’, and “celebrating icons across sports, music and culture”, others featuring in the campaign include Australian rapper and singer The Kid Laroi, and American former artistic gymnast - and two-time Olympian - Aly Raisman.

In a global initiative celebrating a diverse line-up of tastemakers “who embody what it means to be a modern champion”, the line-up of faces also includes martial arts prodigy Rayna Vallandingham, reality competition series winner Jeffrey Randall Allen, Colombian actor-musician Juan Palau, K-pop choreographer Lia Kim and gold medal freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy.

The idea is to spotlight a “rising generation shaping the future of culture and creativity”, all while wearing Champion’s famous Reverse Weave products.

Posing moodily in a locker room in a grey zip-front Champion Reverse Weave hoody, with boxing gloves dangling from a coat rack to his side, Romeo Beckham sports the same shaven-headed look that his dad did when he famously fired home a free-kick against Greece in 2001, which sent England to the 2002 World Cup. Worth noting, too that Romeo has also inherited his dad’s penchant for multiple tattoos.

The campaign will launch through paid media, impactful out-of-home advertising, and across Champion’s owned digital and social platforms, and will be prominently featured at major global retailers.

Key campaign moments will roll out through the coming months, with exclusive interviews, video content and limited-edition merchandise “amplified through Champion's owned channels and talent platforms”.
