In Pictures: Nike launches 'next chapter' Air Max Dn8 with British rapper Central Cee
Nike has launched the Air Max Dn8, a sneaker it describes as the "next chapter" in its footwear cushioning revolution, with British rapper Central Cee among the celebrities spotted rocking the ‘kicks’ at a recent VIP event in Paris.
The standout ‘Hyper Pink’ colourway is on a par with some of the more garish football boot colour choices of the Premiership’s more flamboyant players.
The new Dn8 silhouette follows its Air Max Dn predecessor, with dual pressured air units designed to respond to the pressure of every step.
For the first time, the Air Max Dn8 extends Nike’s Dynamic Air technology to the full length of the foot, "offering a new expression of how it feels to walk on ‘Air’".
A soft, breathable upper complements the Dynamic Air technology and "elevated materials deliver a premium feel".
Jonathan Kosenick, Lead Designer of Men’s Sportswear at Nike, said: "For the Dn8, we wanted to be lower to the ground. We wanted to feel more ‘Air’. We wanted to improve transition.
"All of those goals led us to design the shoe with eight Air chambers directly in contact with the ground, which allows the chambers to more effectively compress and be way more flexible, delivering a much bouncier, springier sensation that channels a Nike performance footwear approach into a shoe you want to wear every day."
The Air Max Dn8 will be available on SNKRS and at select retail partners from 6 February 2025, and globally via the Nike website from 6 March, with additional men's, women's and kids' colourways launching in the following weeks.
