Swedish footwear brand Myrqvist has opened a 1,069 sq ft flagship store at 18-19 Jermyn Street in London, its first retail space outside of Sweden.
Designed by Swedish interior designer Astrid Lindén, the boutique boasts a contemporary Scandinavian aesthetic across two floors, and features considered leather detailing throughout, which is sourced from the same tanneries used for Myrqvist’s shoe designs.
Achieving significant growth, both in Sweden and internationally, and recognised by Habit as Sweden’s fastest growing footwear brand, the London store opening "cements the brand’s position as an international leader in premium, timeliness and long lasting footwear".
Sebastian Öhrn, Founder of Myrqvist, said: "In the summer of 2017, I left the UK after nearly five years of studies to pursue my dream of creating Myrqvist. I always knew I would return and bring Myrqvist with me. Today, I am thrilled to announce that we are opening our very first store outside of Sweden."
Produced in Portugal, the brand’s shoes are predominantly made with Goodyear Welted construction. The full range of footwear and accessories will be available in-store, as well as the brand’s made to order service, "allowing shoppers the opportunity to personalise and create their perfect pair".
