Jigsaw has opened the doors of the latest addition to its retail estate – a 1,367 sq ft boutique-style store at the new Battersea Power Station development.

The British premium brand has opened within the restored Grade II-listed Power Station presenting a store designed by AMD Architects to give the feel of a boutique crossed with a showroom.

Features include a lounging area to make customers feel at home while trying on collections, as well as upcycled chairs, curved walls, soft furnishings in neutral textures.

Collaborators for the store design include Palefire Studio Lighting, Sauce London for 20th century furniture and vintage objects and artworks from artist Jon Llewelyn, founder of Formworks Studio, who is known for his bold and geometric styles.

Vicki Baker, Head of Retail at Jigsaw explained: "We are so excited to be opening in the iconic building that is Battersea Power Station. Jigsaw stores have always been known for individuality and just like our clothing, the store design here will feel elevated with timeless interior style, featuring an edit of interior vintage pieces for sale from SAUCE. With the uniqueness Battersea Power Station brings to the local community, we are looking forward to Jigsaw becoming a part of this world. We can't wait to welcome our first customers and to show the local community, Londoners, and beyond what Jigsaw in Battersea has to offer. "

Sam Cotton, Head of Asset Management at Battersea Power Station, added: “Last year was an extremely exciting time for the project with the opening of the Power Station and Electric Boulevard, our new pedestrianised high street, in October 2022, which has transformed this area of London into a must visit retail and leisure destination. We’re excited to be kick starting 2023 with further openings including the new Jigsaw store within Turbine Hall B, which will offer a beautifully designed environment for members of the local community and further afield to explore the brand’s offering.”

The Battersea Power Station development is one of the most exciting new retail, leisure and residential destinations to open in the UK in recent years. Fashion and beauty retailers to take up stores in the development include Zara, Hackett, Mulberry, Sweaty Betty, Lululemon, Reiss, Mango Reformation, Superdry, Nike, Jo Malone, Aēsop, and more.
