Abercrombie & Fitch's activewear and lifestyle brand Gilly Hicks has officially opened its first standalone store in Belfast's Victoria Square.

The new store is located on the lower ground level of Victoria Square and follows the opening of a standalone store at London's Carnaby Street earlier this year.

Gilly Hicks is a gender-inclusive lifestyle brand, encompassing activewear, underwear and loungewear in patterns and colours that can be worn by anyone, regardless of gender identity.

The new Gilly Hicks stores have been designed to ensure customers of all gender identities feel as comfortable and confident as possible. The stores’ fitting rooms feature light and music controls to cater to each customer’s preferences.

Additionally, the new store is equipped with click and collect, order in store, reserve in store capabilities, and handheld devices that allow customers to avoid the checkout line.

Speaking on the new opening, Russell Banham, UK Head at Commerz Real, said: “We are pleased to announce the opening of Gilly Hicks at Victoria Square. We are confident that this highly awaited store will be a popular addition to our lifestyle offer. Gilly Hicks joins a number of recently opened stores as we evolve our retail line up, with many set to open in the coming months. We continue to be a key destination when it comes to Irish debuts which highlights both the local and international opportunity within Victoria Square.”

Kristin Scott, Global Brand President at Abercrombie & Fitch Co, commented: “We’re thrilled to continue our Gilly Hicks store expansion in Europe. We aim to give our customers their daily dose of happy through our updated product and welcoming store environment and we can’t wait for our customers in Ireland to experience that for the first time. ”
