In Pictures: Farfetch’s There Was One adds activewear to its offering
Farfetch and New Guards Group’s (NGG) joint brand, There Was One (TWO), has launched its first activewear collection.
With functionality at its forefront, the collection consists of both training and cycling-focused pieces for men and women. The pieces are made from high-performance materials with highly functional details, such as reflective piping and mesh inserts for breathability.
Made from high-performance materials, the activewear collection stays true to There Was One’s ethos of "elevated staples", which are described as "perfect for mixing and matching".
The business introduced the category to its product range in response to a strong growth and interest in activewear, and specifically cyclewear.
Chiara Gatti, Senior Head of Category Management & NGG Digital Brands at Farfetch, commented: "Since its launch, There Was One has become the brand of choice for a conscious consumer who values quality and longevity from their favourite wardrobe staples. At Farfetch, we look to identify the needs of our customers, and translate these into our new collections.
"Activewear has seen a strong growth trend recently, and we found the perfect formula to merge the performance and technical elements of the garments, with a design that reflects the There Was One identity. This new line has been designed for our customers that enjoy training and cycling in daily life, but also to dress up with style without renouncing its high-performance materials."
TWO’s activewear collection is now available globally on Farfetch.com, with prices ranging from £50 to £170.
This news follows the announcement that Elliot Jordan will step down by the end of 2023, after more than eight years as Chief Financial Officer. His resignation comes as revenues at the luxury ecommerce platform slowed in the final quarter and it warned of “reduced demand” for its offerings and services.
