24 February 2017

Kensington Palace's major exhibition to celebrate the fashion journey of Diana, Princess of Wales opens its doors today featuring some her most iconic outfits, magazine covers and designer sketches set over six rooms at the historic royal palace.

The highly anticipated Diana: Her Fashion Story exhibition features 25 dresses from designers including David & Elizabeth Emanuel, Caroline Charles, David Sassoon, Versace and Regamus (the earliest piece on show from 1979).

One room at the Pigott Galleries celebrates her status as one of the world's most photographed women with magazine covers including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Harper's Bazaar and Hello! While another features sketches of clothes designed for her by some of the world's most renowned fashion designers.

The exhibition runs for two years and co-incides with the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana's untimely death in Paris in 1997. It charts her evolving style from the romantic look of the early days of her engagement to Prince Charles to the more confident, sleek and glamorous look of the 1990s.

Tickets for the exhibition are available from £16.50 for an adult ticket and can be purchased online.
