In Pictures: Charles Tyrwhitt continues US expansion with new flagship in New York
British menswear brand Charles Tyrwhitt has opened a new 2,450 sq ft flagship store at 477 Madison Ave in New York, adding to its 12 other stores in the US – four of which are also in Manhattan.
The new store features two London telephone booth façades framing the entrance, described as “a distinctive nod to the brand’s British heritage”, and in-store it is showcasing its signature collection of shirting in a variety of fits and colourways, formal and casual suiting, knitwear, casualwear, footwear and accessories.

Joe Irons, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Charles Tyrwhitt, said: “We are thrilled to officially open the doors to our new flagship store on Madison Avenue just steps away from where we debuted our very first New York location over 23 years ago.
“Since then, we’ve grown alongside our customers, and the response to the brand in New York has been so strong that we jumped at the opportunity to create a bigger and more impactful US flagship home, adding to our four other thriving Manhattan stores.”
The new store will have an official opening party on 19 November, featuring early access to Black Friday offers, a live DJ performance and refreshments.
Charles Tyrwhitt is also opening its first store in Wales at St Davids Shopping Centre in Cardiff on 23 November, marking the brand’s 44th store in the UK.
