In Pictures: CDLP expands Essentials collection with Grey Melange launch
Swedish menswear brand CDLP has introduced Grey Melange to its Essentials collection following years of material development to recreate the classic colourway in premium TENCEL™ Lyocell fabric.
The new Grey Melange range marks the first time the brand has offered the shade across its signature TENCEL™ Lyocell essentials, including underwear, tank tops, T-shirts and socks.
Long associated with athletic-inspired basics and everyday essentials, Grey Melange has traditionally been difficult to produce in premium TENCEL™ Lyocell due to technical limitations in the dyeing process. CDLP said it spent several years refining the material before successfully introducing the colourway to its core collection.

To coincide with the launch, the brand has unveiled a new campaign starring British dancer, performer and model Sam Salter. Shot in a South London laundromat, the campaign celebrates the simplicity and versatility of wardrobe staples while highlighting the new addition to the Essentials range.
Sam Salter said: “I have always been a fan of CDLP. They prove simplicity is the key and you don’t always have to do the most to have great style. The quality, detail, cut and fit make the brand a personal stand-out for me.”
Christian Larson, co-founder and creative director of CDLP, said: “Sam is the perfect person to introduce it - confident, charismatic, and full of joy. His effortless authenticity aligns perfectly with the spirit of CDLP.”
Founded in Stockholm in 2016, CDLP specialises in elevated everyday essentials made using responsibly sourced materials, with TENCEL™ Lyocell remaining a core component of its product offering. The latest launch expands the brand’s permanent Essentials collection with one of the most recognisable colourways in underwear.
The launch reflects continued investment in product innovation as premium apparel brands look to differentiate core essentials through fabric development and material performance, while responding to consumer demand for elevated everyday basics.
