In Pictures: Belstaff teams up with Nigel Cabourn on three limited-edition jackets
Heritage British brand Belstaff has joined forces with cult menswear designer Nigel Cabourn on three standout limited-edition jackets, which take a bold spin on garments from Belstaff’s rich archive.
Cabourn is known for his love of vintage pieces and is often inspired by archival military gear when creating his distinctive outerwear. That made Belstaff “a natural fit for the brand”, with its legacy of outerwear excellence and rich archive spanning just over 100 years.

The ‘Coastal Commander Jacket’, priced at £2,050, injects a pop of colour into a classic aviator shearling, while the ‘Derwent Trialmaster’ (£675) reissues an iconic Belstaff waxed cotton outdoor jacket in bright burnt orange.

Third up is the waxed cotton ‘Trialmaster Tribute’ jacket (£575) in a custom camouflage print developed by Nigel Cabourn – bringing his unique design DNA to one of Belstaff’s most pivotal archival pieces.
Cabourn said: “This a great fit for me as Belstaff was one of my very early influences in outerwear. The collaboration began with a conversation after I had provided the introduction to the Belstaff 100-year celebration book (in 2024) and then just became a natural flow for the Belstaff team to visit me and my team in Newcastle. It evolved from that.
“It takes my vintage inspiration into Belstaff’s archive and fuses the two together. I feel we are a good fit because we both represent heritage and history and the love of practical garments that are fit for purpose - and are at the same time comfortable and look great.”

The limited-edition collection is now available on the Belstaff website and at its stores at 203 Regent Street in London and 48 King Street in Manchester.
Last month, Belstaff added a 2,259 sq ft store at Victoria Leeds to its UK retail portfolio.
In August, it was revealed that premium British sportswear brand Castore acquired 100% of Belstaff with the aim “to accelerate international growth”.
However, a twist in the transaction saw Belstaff’s then parent company, INEOS, make “a significant strategic investment” in Castore at holding company level.
