I Love Designer rebrands and unveils plans to extend into beauty and home

Luxury online accessories store I Love Designer has unveiled a new brand and plans to add new categories including beauty, home accessories and travel this year.

Founded in 2013 by husband and wife team (and members of The Industry) G Bond and Larry Ojala, I Love Designer was inspired by jewellery the pair discovered on their frequent global travels.

“We believe all women, no matter where they reside, should be able to access accessories from the best designers in the world. This is how our philosophy of ‘East meets West’ luxury accessories was born,” explained Bond.

The site now features accessories from 50 established and emerging Eastern and Western designers, which have been scouted by Bond and Ojala, from global trade and fashion shows, such as New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Week in the West and India, Indonesia, Shanghai, Beijing and Singapore Fashion Week in the East.

Designers featured on I Love Designer now include Amrapali, Isharya, Maria Francesca Pepe, Nocturne, Skinny Dip London and Zoe and Morgan, as well as the site’s own label Akalis. Its new logo features a cross and symbols representing wind, water, wings and a shield to portray the East meets West approach, while its latest promotional campaign features the young British Pakistani model Laila Naim, who found fame after being featured in a Burberry campaign.

Later this year the brand will extend into beauty, homewares and travel and also has plans for pop-up stores for the Akalis brand.
