Hush looks to boost declining revenues with leadership reshuffle

Fashion and lifestyle retailer Hush is reshuffling its executive team after its Chief Financial Officer, Don Davis, stepped down. In the same breath, the retailer has appointed Rebecca Scott to the role of Chief Trading Officer.

According to a statement filed on Companies House, Don Davis,  Hush's CFO, is set to leave the business after three years.

He joined Hush in March 2021, with CFO experience at retailers including ASOS and  Homebase.

Hush also announced that Rebecca Scott is its new CTO. Scott joined the retailer from Sephora UK, where she was most recently its CFO. Previously, Scott worked at Feelunique, prior to it being acquired by Sephora in 2021.

Scott said her goodbyes to Sephora on LinkedIn, writing: "After an amazing 7-year journey leading a brilliant team at Feelunique and then Sephora UK as CFO, I am proud to announce my move to hush as Chief Trading Officer. Thank you to everyone at Sephora for a wonderful experience and tons of career highlights and hello to the team at Hush who have made me so welcome!"

Online fashion brand Hush was founded in 2003 by Mandy Watkins. Aussie-born Watkins set the business up after her first experience of a northern hemisphere winter. She started by designing her very own wardrobe for long cosy nights tucked away from the British weather.

Recently, Hush revealed that its revenues declined by 9% to £62.17 million in the year ending 25 March 2023. Operating profit declined by 84% to £1.4 million.

This news comes after last year's news that the retailer has appointed Melissa Dick as its new Chief Creative Officer. Dick joined from Coach, where she was VP Global Head of Creative Strategy & Studio.
