International fashion brand Hugo Boss is taking an 8,000 sq ft space at Selfridges’ The Parcels Building on Oxford Street, set to open in spring 2022 when the refurbishment of the building has been completed.

Leading workspace provider Fora will also occupy some of The Parcels Building, which has been “part of the Selfridges neighbourhood” since 2011.

With a combination of offices and high profile retail spaces overlooking Duke Street and Oxford Street, The Parcels Building has been designed by RIBA gold medal winning architects, Grafton Associates, and will become a landmark in the reinvigorated Oxford Street district. The completed building is set to rate as ‘excellent’ in line with BREEAM standards.

The 45,000 sq ft building has capacity to house 20,000 sq ft of retail space in total, with Hugo Boss set to become the lead retail occupier. The occupancy will also include a two-floor event space that will showcase an expansive terrace with views across the region.

Tim Reade, Director of Asset Management at Selfridges Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome Hugo Boss and Fora to the neighbourhood as lead occupiers in The Parcels Building. This represents a significant step forward for Oxford Street and will be another draw for visitors to the Selfridges neighbourhood. We look forward to the brand being part of the regeneration of the area.”

Volker Herre, Managing Director Western Europe & Middle East at Hugo Boss, added: “Hugo Boss looks forward to joining the Oxford Street neighbourhood in 2022. Over the past 18 months we have been taking steps to right-size the business, focussing on the locations and channels where we see opportunities to offer special brand experiences and create a destination for our customers. Selfridges Group is globally iconic and renowned for its experiential approach to retail. Hugo Boss is pleased to be among the first brands to partner with Selfridges Group at The Parcels Building.”
