HRH The Princess Royal visited British duffle coat brand Gloverall this week, in her role as President of the UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT).

Home to the original duffle coat, the foundations of the Gloverall were built on manufacturing quality British outerwear and date back to 1951. While the duffle coat remains the signature piece of the brand, the collection has grown over the years to offer a variety of styles, incorporating its signature thoughtful design throughout.

Working closely with highly skilled craftsmen up and down the British Isles, this longstanding relationship has been built over generations to create genuine hardwearing product with care and consideration.

HRH Princess Anne 2/2The visit from HRH The Princess Royal marks almost 33 years since she last visited the company, on 14th November 1986. She also visited its sister company, Lochcarron of Scotland, in 2017 to celebrate its traditional tartan fabric manufacturing expertise.
This year Gloverall has moved its head office from Northamptonshire to its original home in London to grow the business and attract new talent.

Adam Mansell, CEO of UKFT, said: “It is fantastic to recognise this brand that puts UK manufacturing at the heart of what it does. Gloverall boasts a contemporary look built on heritage, which is something we are proud to champion here at UKFT.”
