How Mango is increasing its presence in the UK

Mango is accelerating its expansion in the UK with the opening of new three stores this autumn.

The Spanish-based fashion brand is opening a new store at London’s new Battersea Power Station shopping centre from tomorrow, 14 October 2022.

The new Battersea Power Station store will be one of the first in the UK to feature the brand's Mediterranean-inspired concept. The store's design has been influenced by Mediterranean culture and style, aiming to reflect the "spirit and freshness" of the brand.

In addition, the space will exclusively stock Mango's Woman Collection, feature a specific click-and-collect area, and new 'Committed Box', allowing customers to deposit clothing and footwear to give their garments a second life.

Mango will then open at Newcastle’s Eldon Square shopping centre in November. The store will have a selling space of over 400 square metres and will also stock items from the brand's Woman Collection.

The upcoming openings follow Mango's new store at Bluewater shopping centre, which opened last month.

Daniel Lopez, Mango’s Global Expansion Director, said: “The opening of these three stores is part of the expansion plan we are promoting to consolidate our brand in the country and a step forward in our strategic goals for international expansion and our distribution ecosystem.

"The UK is a key market for Mango and one of the most important for the fashion industry in the world, and we want Mango to have a significant presence in it."

Mango has been present in the UK since 1998. The brand currently has a network of 46 stores in the UK, including own company-owned stores and corners in department stores. It also operates through its online platform and several marketplaces.

Last year, Mango opened its flagship store on London's Oxford Street, debuting the brand's Mediterranean-inspired retail concept in the UK.
