How House of CB's founder is championing female founders this IWD
Conna Walker, the founder of House of CB, is championing female entrepreneurs this International Women’s Day with a £20,000 business fund.
From a Dalston market stall to flagship stores across the globe, Conna Walker has turned affordable sexiness into a multimillion-pound business. She built her now global fashion empire with just £3,000 at age 17 back in 2010. Her goal? To design clothing that would give the illusion of an hourglass silhouette, something the brand continues to do 15 years on.
Knowing the challenges of starting a business, Walker is hosting a competition to help females kickstart or scale their businesses. Launching on 8 March, the competition will award three winners - one receiving £10,000 and two more receiving £5,000 each.
The one and only qualifier for the contest? Being a woman - no matter the industry you're in.

House of CB has been committed to supporting women, with this mission at the heart of everything we do.
"Since launching the competition in 2019, it has been an incredible success, and it’s been so rewarding to be part of other female founder’s journeys. I know firsthand how valuable support is when you’re starting out and as you grow, and not every entrepreneur has access to that, which is why I created this competition – to offer that same opportunity to others".
