Vinted is today launching its second-hand luxury fashion concept, ‘House of Vinted’, online following its 'by invitation only' pop-up at The Adria Hotel in London last weekend - its first ‘in real life’ event - from 6pm this evening.

Vinted members will be able to shop online for designer items from brands including Gucci, Prada, Maison Margiela, Jacquemus and The Row, curated by ‘fashion creators’ including Susie Lau, Victoria Magrath, Simran Randhawa, Giulia Valentina and Keiona Revlon – with most pieces coming directly from their personal wardrobes.

The themes of the wardrobes are not only based on the styles of the creators involved, but also on Vinted data which shows there is an increasing trend for search terms like ‘art deco’, ‘gingham’, ‘vintage’, ‘scandi’, ‘statement piece’, ‘puff sleeves’ and ‘cable knit sweaters’.

Highlights from Susie Lau’s wardrobe include a Prada SS20 dress, a Comme des Garçons ‘Tricot’ silver skirt, which she bought on one of her vintage shopping trips to Tokyo, and a pair of Maison Margiela ‘Tabi’ shoes.

Victoria Magrath’s wardrobe favourites up for sale include a blue Balmain suit which she wore to the launch of her book ‘The New Fashion Rules’, a pair of Valentino platform heels - which she wore when Valentino Beauty took her to Rome for a launch, and a pair of Balmain x H&M heels, which she "queued up for hours outside the Manchester store" to get her hands on.

Emma Sullivan, Creative Director at Vinted, said: "Following our 'House of Vinted' showcase in London last weekend, from today Vinted members across the UK will be able to shop items from the specially curated wardrobes seen at the event.

"I am excited for our members to share in the joy that comes from buying and selling luxury second-hand fashion."

Creator Susie Lau said: "I don’t often sell things as I’m quite attached to most of my wardrobe, but I loved the idea of curating a collection and bringing that pre-loved experience to life."

Fellow creator Victoria Magrath added: "Vinted has long been my preferred platform for selling pre-loved luxury pieces and designer items. I shall be selling several pieces that have held a special meaning to me, inspired by the concept of ‘Art Deco Déjà vu’.

"I can’t wait for people to experience the collections and for the items to become new again in someone else’s closet."

Part of the proceeds from the House of Vinted wardrobe sale will go to Oxfam, though it’s not clear how much.
