House of Vans London to reopen after 15 months of closure

The House of Vans in London is set to reopen its doors to the public on 4 November 2021, following a 15-month hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Embracing and fuelling creative expression through art, music, skateboarding, BMX, street culture and fashion, House of Vans offers a platform for local communities to experience and engage with Vans’ ‘Off The Wall’ spirit.

The reopening starts with a Ben Raemers Foundation Charity event in partnership with VICE, aiming to put an end to the stigma that often plummets mental health issues in the skateboarding environment.

VICE’s new documentary series ‘Skating and Talking’, which profiles the life and legacy of Ben Raemers, will be shown in House of Vans’ cinema with 100 seats, followed by a panel debate.

There will also be an exclusive 10-year House of Vans exhibition launching on 4 November, with memorabilia, photos and posters commemorating the last decade of the legendary retail, skateboarding and music venue.

5 November will see return of a two-day English music documentary festival, curated by Doc’n Roll. Alongside a selection of the country’s best music documentaries, Doc’n Roll will present a specially curated evening of short films and Q&A panel discussions with a selection of the featured filmmakers. The second Doc’n Roll release will follow the week after, 12 November.

Later in the month, House of Vans will bring back its monthly Community Markets. In the run up to Christmas, they have partnered with the London Makers Market to bring festive spirit into the tunnels and give consumers a head start with their Christmas shopping.

Further retail and music events are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
