House of Holland to stage 10th birthday catwalks and pop-up at V&A

House of Holland will stage four free-to-attend retrospective catwalk shows at the V&A on Friday 21 October to celebrate the brand's 10th anniversary.

Founded by designer Henry Holland in 2006 the brand burst onto the London fashion scene with its tongue-in-cheek slogan t-shirts which name-checked Holland's contemporaries, such as UHU Gareth Pugh and Get Your Freak On Giles Deacon.

Holland went on to take part in Lulu Kennedy's Fashion East initiative and staged his first solo show at London Fashion Week in 2008. The brand now includes full ready-to-wear and accessories collections for men and women and Holland also designs a line, H! by Henry Holland, for department store Debenhams.

As part of the V&A's Fashion in Motion series, Holland will stage four catwalk shows on 21 October in the museum's Raphael Gallery which will chronicle House of Holland's history with items due to make a turn on the catwalk including the iconic T-shirts, the tartan eyepatch from 2008 and the raving grandma inspired collection for AW11.

Holland says he has drawn his inspiration from living and working in London. "London is the most inspiring place in the world. The melting pot of cultures and the diverse sense of identity that you find all around you inspires me and my work every single day," he said.

In addition to the catwalks a one-day House of Holland pop-up will be staged at the museum selling a selection of the t-shirts.
