H&M Man has launched a free 24-hour suit rental service, ONE/SECOND/SUIT, to help men feel more confident in job interviews.

The men's navy blue suit is offered in a variety of size options complete with white shirt and red pocket square and is delivered in a garment bag.

Men can book a suit online and it is delivered by courier Hermes. Providing the suit is returned within 24 hours, the service is free.

Late returns incur a £50 penalty which is donated to one of H&M's chosen charities. Minor damage or stains, which can be easily repaired or cleaned, will not be charged to the customer but if a suit suffers major damage a fee of £116.94 will be charged.

The suit is returned to the retailer in a pre-paid bag and is sent directly to a cleaning service.

On its website H&M said the move was made to help men "to make a powerful first impression" in an interview. The service went live yesterday in the UK and will be launched in the US on 13 May.

To promote the service filmmaker and acclaimed music video director Mark Romaneck has produced a 30-second video featuring a range of young men preparing for job interviews while listening to a voicemail from their mothers sending words of encouragement.
