Hill & Friends receives £1.5m investment

Hill & Friends, the luxury accessories brand launched two years ago by former Mulberry creative director Emma Hill, has received £1.5m in backing from a private investment house.

According to The Sunday Times, the brand has given IW Capital a minority stake in the firm, which Hill co-founded with with former Mulberry marketing chief Georgia Fendley, and will use the cash to recruit more staff and improve its website.

Hill & Friends revealed last week that it would be opening its first store on London's South Molton Street on 22 September. Instagram posts have revealed the store's entrance and interior will be bright pink (Farrow & Ball's Middleton Pink) in keeping with the brand's warm and friendly aesthetic. It will be showing its latest collection at London Fashion Week tomorrow (18 September) evening.
