Harvey Nichols unveils new womenswear floor

Harvey Nichols has taken the wraps off its newly refurbishment womenswear destination on the first floor of its Knightsbridge flagship.

The 22,000 sq ft space features a new Harvey Nichols design concept, which moves away from the traditional branded shop fits and instead offers a more sophisticated and elegant interior akin to a luxury boutique.

Creating the new area has involved restructuring large parts of the floor to create a fluid open space to ease the customer journey through the brand offering. The exposure of the original windows has bought in more natural light and lends a greater sense of airiness to the space.

Shoes are presented in their own dedicated area which features an unusual combination of materials such as marble, textured glass and raw steel. While at the centre of the experience is service, with Style Advisers are on hand to offer expert advice on products, seasonal trends and styling.

"We are incredibly excited to unveil the latest part of the redevelopment plan of our flagship store. Following a four month closure of our First Floor, which houses our womenswear designer collections, we can finally let customers come and experience the beautiful new space. We believe we have created an unrivalled destination, which offers the best edit of international brands including ready-to-wear, accessories and shoes - along with the finest advice from our team of expert stylists," said joint chief operating officers Daniela Rinaldi and Manju Malhotra.

Brands featured in the new area include CALVIN KLEIN 205W39NYC, Off-White and Chloé, while international designer collections are now housed on the fourth floor, which has been rebranded as the Designer Studio.
