Harrods is to extend its opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays, starting 18 June 2021, with the view of extending the hours further once the UK is closer to achieving normality.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, last year Harrods reduced its trading hours with the promise that it would restore them again when the time was most appropriate.
As the vaccination programme continues with pace and the Government carefully heading towards further reductions on restrictions, Harrods executives have decided that mid-June is an appropriate time to begin expanding operating hours once more.
The department store will open Friday and Saturdays 11am-8pm, an hour longer than the current 11am-7pm store hours. The extended trading hours will allow the location to increase visitor numbers and take advantage of weekend trading patterns.
