Harrods rings in Lunar New Year with Chinese fashion pop-up
Harrods never skimps on celebratory events, and this Chinese New Year is no different. For the third year in a row, the flagship store is collaborating with Labelhood, the Chinese fashion platform.
In celebration of the Year of the Snake, Harrods, which is known for going hard or going home, is pulling out all the stops from fashion events to teatime and hampers galore.
Running from today (9 January) to 21 January, Labelhood will host a pop-up at Harrods Knightsbridge. The store’s exhibition windows and facade will be brought to life with a showcase of fashion and homeware, featuring emerging Chinese designers.
Paying homage to the Year of the Snake, the Harrods pop-up explores the theme of Spiritual Homeland, blending traditional Chinese elements with contemporary design. The space is inspired by the art of creative journeys of young Chinese artists in Jingdezhen, giving visitors the chance to embrace modern Chinese Culture.
Tangxindan, Ya Yi, Samuel Gui Yang and 1300 are among the coveted brands featured in the showcase.
Moving on to activations, Labelhood will be offering a culinary experience in partnership with Chai Wu. The Chai Wu x Labelhood Spring Festival Menu creates a masterful celebration, blending tradition with a modern twist. The opulent dining selection includes Lo Mein – a culinary imagining of the Year of the Snake.
As for something sweet, diners will also have the option of a Tangerine Chocolate Tartlet or Tang Hu Lu – a traditional dessert of sweet, candied fruit skewer with a glossy sugar finish.
