Harrods puts spotlight on African designers with new pop-up
Harrods has today launched a seven-week pop-up in collaboration with Brand63Africa, showcasing five up-and-coming designers from Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal and Trinidad & Tobago.
Following its debut at London Fashion Week earlier this year, the pop-up marks Brand63Africa’s first-ever retail activation and is set to run from 7 September to 27 October.
Clemmie Harris, Head of Buying - Contemporary, Sport and Essentials at Harrods, said: “At Harrods, we are proud to champion emerging talent and provide our customers with access to the most exciting voices shaping the future of luxury.
“Our partnership with Brand63Africa reflects a shared commitment to celebrating exceptional creativity, craftsmanship and innovation, while creating meaningful opportunities for designers to connect with a global audience.
“The pop-up represents a unique opportunity to introduce these remarkable brands to our customers, offering not only the chance to discover and shop their collections, but also to engage with the inspiring stories, perspectives and cultural influences behind each designer's work, and contribute to the increasingly global dialogue shaping the fashion industry today.”

Founded by Eva Omaghomi, Brand63Africa was established to create meaningful pathways for designers from Africa and the diaspora to access global luxury markets through retail partnerships, industry connections and long-term commercial opportunities.
Omaghomi said: “Brand63Africa was created to connect extraordinary designers with the opportunities, networks and visibility needed to grow globally, while remaining true to their heritage, craftsmanship and creative vision.
“The launch of our first-ever pop-up at Harrods is a defining moment for the platform and for the designers we are proud to champion.
“This is not about creating a seat at the table. It is about demonstrating that African and diasporic designers have always belonged within the global luxury conversation.
“We hope customers discover exceptional brands, but also gain a deeper appreciation of the creativity, innovation and craftsmanship that continues to emerge from across Africa and its diaspora.”
The inaugural Brand63Africa designer collective at Harrods consists of Christie Brown from Ghana, Studio Namnyak from Kenya, Abiola Olusola from Nigeria, Sukeina from Senegal and The Cloth from Trinidad & Tobago.
