Hannah Lewis joins forces with new basics brand on 'perfect summer capsule'
KLAYD, the British-founded elevated basics brand, has joined forces with fashion director, stylist and content creator, Hannah Lewis, on a collection that confirms you can never have too many basics.
Launching exclusively online on 1 May, the collaborative collection consists of nine styles which are all everyday staples tank tops and tube dresses.
New categories being introduced exclusively for this collection include trousers, skirts and cardigans. Since its inception in September 2023, all Klayd styles are available from an XS - 4XL.
In 2023, Lewis was initially introduced to KLAYD when she styled the brand's first-ever campaign. Lewis bonded with Founder Paula Anselmi over their penchant for simplicity. Months later, the collaboration was born.
Founder and CEO, Paula Anselmi, said: "I’m very excited to be collaborating with Hannah and to create amazing, elevated basic styles for everyone. Hannah has been such an inspiration. With a wider range of styles and fabrics, the collection is ideal for the upcoming warmer season and perfectly aligns with Hannah’s style and identity. We’re eager to share it with you all, and we’re confident you will love it!"
Hannah Lewis added: "I’ve always been into buying great basics at the foundation of my wardrobe and they’re something I rely on daily when putting my look together. Having tried and tested so many brands it was a joy to come across KLAYD and discover their specialist KLAYD fabric.
"When it comes to shape and fit I know exactly what I want from my staples so it was great to be able to work with Paula on designing and creating the perfect summer capsule we feel every wardrobe needs, in a colour palette that will work to create endless outfits."
KLAYD launched in September 2023 with two capsule collections specialising in wardrobe staples. What makes the basics brand stand out against its competitors is not only its clay-like textures (hence its name) but also its connection to Indonesia, the founder's home town. One way the brand gives back is through its partnership with LindungiHutan — an Indonesian-founded initiative, committed to environmental conservation. One tree is planted per sale, to offset the effects of deforestation and environmental disasters.
