Gymshark and Radley named UK's fastest growing fashion brands globally
Sportswear brand, Gymshark has been named the UK's fastest growing fashion brand internationally. The sportswear retailer has had an average increase of 115.7% in international sales in the last two years.
The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 said Gymshark has achieved international sales of an praise worthy £143.5m in the year to July 2019, with total sales at £176.2m.
The sportswear brand is ranked at 18 in the league table, and has rapidly evolved amongst Britain's competitive fashion retail market. Although there has been a drop in ranking for the brand, which came at the top of the list last year.
Gymshark has shot to success in under 8 years, with an increasing annual turnover of almost £200m, using social media rather than third-party sellers to boost brand awareness.
The company employs a growing team of 350, exporting to over 180 countries worldwide.
The next fashion brand listed at number 40 is Radley with 79.11% average growth in international sales, whilst Yours Clothing joined the list of ranking for the first time, at number 81, with a 53.22% increase.
Additional fashion contenders performing positively internationally included Lyle & Scott, which reported international sales of £23.1m in 2019, resulting in a 44.55% two-year average international sales growth. Lyle & Scott was ranked 115th overall.
Fat Face has been ranked at 118 with 43.54% growth, luxury etailer Matchesfashion has been listed at number 134 with international sales increasing on average 41.22% in the last two years, and high-end menswear retailer End was announced as the 177th fastest-growing private company.
