Gucci collaborates with Harry Styles to capitalise on his Midas touch

Harry Styles and Gucci's Creative Director Alessandro Michele have collaborated on a new capsule collection for Gucci.

Unveiled during the menswear shows in Milan, Gucci HA HA HA is inspired by the duo's friendship and creative journeys. The pair have been friends since Michele made his debut as Gucci's Creative and Styles started his solo music career.

The new capsule collection features playful pieces including colourful suits, patterned jackets and a range of shirts, coats and accessories.

The new collection feeds into the former One Direction star's long-time relationship with the brand, which has seen him appear in numerous advertising campaigns over the last few years.

Commenting on the collection in a statement, Alessandro Michele said: “Harry has an incredible sense of fashion. Observing his ability to combine items of clothing in a way that is out of the ordinary compared to the required standards of taste and common sense and the homogenisation of appearance, I came to understand that the styling of a look is a generator of differences and of powers, as are his reactions to the designs I have created for him, which he has always made his own; these reactions restore me with a rush of freedom every time.”

News of the collaboration follows the singer's recent Love On Tour shows in the UK, which have seen him perform at various locations over the last week, all whilst wearing custom outfits designed by Gucci.

Styles also flaunted various looks by Alessandro Michele at Coachella in April 2022.

Further developing his bond with the luxury brand, Styles has also worn Gucci on various magazine covers, including his debut as US Vogue's first-ever solo male cover star, wearing a lace trimmed dress and double-breasted tuxedo jacket.

Various Gucci looks worn by Harry Styles are currently on show at the Victoria and Albert Museum 'Fashioning Masculinity: The Art of Menswear' exhibition, in partnership with Gucci. The exhibition runs until 6 November 2022.

Styles has also become involved in the beauty industry, launching his first beauty brand in December 2021. Since its launch, the brand has released a number of unisex nail polish and skincare products including the brand's current Acid Drops Lucid Overnight Serum, Hand + Nail Balm and The Shroom Bloom Set.

Pleasing by Harry Styles

With Harry Styles' fashion collaborations increasing, it generates the question of which brand will be snapping up the singer next?
