London landlord Grosvenor is curating a three-day pop-up boutique called The Mayfair Maison from 23-25 September 2022, at 38 Grosvenor Square, which will house leading designer catwalk collections and limited-edition pieces at less than half the price.

Designers including Huishan Zhang, Jenny Packham, J&M Davidson, Malone Souliers, Roksanda, and jewellery designer Stephen Webster, will be showcasing much loved catwalk collections, limited edition archive pieces as well as “timeless designer and celebrity favourite pieces”.

From Malone Souliers’ ‘Montana’ cut-out ankle boots, worn by actress Naomie Harris on the red carpet for £380, to a Roksanda ‘Raeya’ dress worn by actress Emily Blunt at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in 2019 for £450, shoppers will be able to snap up the most coveted archive pieces.

The 38 Grosvenor Square address is a Grade II listed townhouse which dates back to circa 1727, and is a Mayfair icon with Italianate frontage and a grand staircase inside “exuding old world grandeur”. Collections will be showcased across the historical townhouse and shoppers will be invited to browse and try on the luxury designs.

The initiative forms part of Grosvenor’s strategy to create leading retail destinations and experiences and recast the traditional property owner/occupier relationship as a genuine long-term partnership.

This includes an ongoing series of high-profile pop-ups, a ‘Conversation’ series that provides actionable insights, a Retail Concierge service making it easier for small and independent brands to set up shop, as well as the recently unveiled simplified lease – a market-first which allows occupiers to agree a lease and have access to their premises in a matter of days.

Joanna Lea, Director of Retail, Grosvenor, commented: “In an iconic Mayfair property not often open to the public, we’re showcasing the best of British design in a way that’s accessible to a wider audience.

“The Mayfair Maison is the latest in a line of experiences we’ve created to drive awareness of the many exceptional businesses based here and cement the area’s status as one of the capital’s most exciting retail destinations. It’s also a first for a property owner to create this kind of experience for its occupiers.

“This is the next step in our aim to redefine what it means to be a property owner. By transforming a transactional relationship into a valued partnership that benefits everyone, we want to make the choice of landlord as important as location to a brand.”
